Sec 3 works !!

First oil painting:

Sorry for the blurry picture.

Anyway. this is the first oil painting i did. The painting only used black and white colours. The tone and the colours are pretty hard to control. This painting really require me to be very sensitive to the light and dark areas in order to create the depth.

Sketching exercise:

This is a white cloth. This is intended as a sketching exercise. Its really tough drawing the cloth as we need to pay extra attention to the different tones at the different parts. Also, it is really hard to differentiate the light and dark areas. We also need to take extra care when we sketch in order to make sure the smooth texture of the cloth we be seen. Hope it looks like a cloth :)

Ceramics:

These are some of the prac works for my ceramic work with the theme nature.

Fashion design:

This design is following the theme nature. I made it adopt a tribal style. I played with the textures on the skirt a bit. The skirt meant to resemble the textures of the snakes to suggest nature. I wanted to give the skirt a more fluid feel and the top of the dress is meant to depict the texture of the sea cells from nature. In order to let the golden yellow colour of the dress to stand out, I chose a model with a darker skin tone and also to let the dress to look more unique. The background also follows the theme nature, as the dress blend well in the forest.

Sec 3 EOY:

For my sec 3 eoy work, I choose the theme nature phenomenon and I interpreted the theme as aging. The 5 chairs in the painting symbolise the 5 different life stages, baby, child, teenager, adult and the old aged. As those are the chairs people sit on at the different stages of life.

The big grandfather clock at the background represents the time and aging.

Research studies :)

And used the same theme for my coursework, the process of aging. However, in my coursework, I further explored what the different people see in the world through their eyes.

The old aged

The adults.

The Teenagers.

The Children.

The babies.
This are a few research drawings of people of the different stages of life of my coursework. I will be investigating what people see in the world and their appearance through their eyes for my coursework. The 5 stages of life: Baby, Child, Teenage, Adult and Old age :)
Really curious why people look so different at different ages...
